Program Fees

The Arizona Board of Regents reviews program fees for all three state universities. Program fees are additional amounts charged to students in select undergraduate and graduate degree programs for costs not normally associated with the delivery of a program. Such fees are designed to defray expenses associated with some programs and may include such items as:

  • modernization of equipment and instrumentation for instructional delivery and student projects
  • higher-than-normal expense to deliver instruction
  • state or national specialty exams related to student licensure, boards, candidacy, etc.
  • overhead for special facilities
  • specialized software licensing
  • support for maintenance of essential or dedicated equipment
  • certain intensive programs

Degree programs that have been approved for program fees are:
